Some Shit I Found…

7 May

So I’m done. I finally ended this dreadful semester. And, in my true nature whilst studying, I managed to scrape a bit of Beatport and other internets with a twitch of electricity, I managed to get a good amount of stuff. Some good, some great. Ultimately up for you to decide.

Sorry I’m not going to leave a longer and more witty post, but fuck you. I’ve been up for going on 40 hours now, learning the obvious of how the hippies ruled the 60s, making tacos for frat dudes, and finding this badass stuff for you lads.

Pardon me if that sounded offensive, I’m listening to the pink monkey of my sleep deprived illusions… he’s a lovable asshole.

Anyways, here you go!

Alright, so I made a post about Feed Me LAST week, I realize that, but this is important.

It’s nothing much (and I don’t have downloads available for anything), but if you want to feel giddy with excitement any, you should probably check out the samples to Feed Me’s upcoming EP “Feed Me to the Stars.”

I don’t know the release date, or even how many tracks are on it (PLEASE be more than four), but in true Mouse Husic fashion I’ll keep you posted.

So here you are.

Star Wars Puns: Incoming

26 Apr

Darth & Vader… Jesus Christ, the force is strong with this one. Chances are, I’m not the first person to tell you about this magnificent bastard, whose heavy synth and utterly ground shaking bass, is about as close as you can actually get to battling a rancor.

And just to add to his music, the man might as well be a myth. He plays shows, then he fucking disappears into the vast blackness of space. All we know is that he comes from a galaxy far far away… called Brazile. This shit is so evil in the sexiest way I can possibly imagine.

Here’s just a couple of the songs that constantly try and force choke my eardrums. Although he’s mainly a remix artist (at the moment at least), I’ve also thrown in a couple of his collaborative efforts.

Day 14

15 Apr

Amid all of the announcements for this Nocturnal 2011, none of them sent my heart all aflutter like the announcement that Feed Me would be gracing us with his presence.

Jon Gooch (a.k.a. Feed Me and drum & bass artist Spor) has been making some serious waves in the Drum & Bass scene for years, only now is he showing all his fans that genres are bullshit and moving out of D&B and creating whatever the hell he wants, enter Feed Me’s Big Adventure. This wasn’t an album, this was Frankenstein’s monster. Coming to life with every kind of electronic noise you could think of, and in the process killing us with each of its absolutely massive tracks. The album quickly shot to the top of the Beatport charts, and stayed there until it was good and well ready to come down (which was awhile), and with tracks like Grand Theft Ecstasy and Cloudburn, it wasn’t without reason. Big Adventure was a nice way to show people that different worlds of electro could, in fact, exist on the same album.

Now, I only learned of Feed Me’s existence late last year with the release of Big Adventure, but it didn’t take long for his hard style electro to begin burrowing into my subconscious. And if I’m just now introducing him to you, prepare for inception.

The Daily Whiz

14 Apr

What’s up my fellow cheeseheads?? Sorry for the late post, the internet connection here is awful. Wise had a very good thing posted the other day. I just want to also give you my personal thanks as well. You guys are great and we appreciate all the support so far!

In today’s whiz I want to feature the dynamic, two man based Electro production out of Cleveland,OH. They call themselves DIGIRAATII. DIGIRAATII developed onto the electronic music scene, in early 2009, and has been killing it ever since. Authorizing themselves, from the start, as electronic music’s own “digital elite” or digerati. They suddenly made a name for themselves by causing a near panic in every direction, every time they hit the tables. Equipped with their heart pounding bass lines and chaotic melodies, I can’t stop listening.

Here are a couple previews they have recently released.

Skyrunner – Red Rooms (DIGIRATTII Remix) (Preview)

Machine Gun Kelley (feat. Aaron Lafette) – Fantasy (DIGIRATTII Remix)

DIGIRAATII – The Thrill Can Kill (Hot Mess Remix) (Preview)

To Our Readers…

14 Apr

Mousehusic.com has been online for a little over a week, and my god has it been and interesting one. In that week Tabs and myself have been bombarded with a boatload of new artists just waiting to be listened to, and more importantly, to be shared with you.

And while I’m on the subject of… you, I feel I have to write this like I was giving a well worded speech for the sake of sounding smart and sane, because we found out there’s a lot of you guys. In the short time that we’ve been online and posting, we’ve gotten hits from almost 10,000 unique users. We’re no facebook or the majority of existing elctro music blogs, but we know how to be patient. But almost 10,000 unique hits?! All I can say to that is, holy shit!

Thank you guys so much for making what was intended to be a simple hobby into something that is worth being immensely proud of. We appreciate all of your comments, feedback, and support and hope that you’ll stick with us for the long road ahead.

We know that the site might look a bit crude at the moment, but bear with us and know that were doing everything in our poorly funded power to make the site as pretty and accesible as possible. This includes adding new writers to our team (you’ll meet Vose tomorrow), the newest and best tunes you want to hear, and of course giving the site a makeover.

And for being so awesome to us, I just gotta post this track that had me and Tabs losing our damn minds. DJ Dank may not be the most well known name out there, but that hasn’t stopped him form making some incredible music to please your ears.

Day #17

12 Apr

Sorry everything has been all messed up today, I sincerely apologize. I’ve just been in straight edit mode all day and just trying out new things. Hopefully these next tracks make up for my wrong doing. This next artist is composed of two men who know what electro house is. The duo consists of Felipe Lozinsky and Gustavo Rozenthal, both hailing from Brazil. The two just officially remixed Madonna’s new single “Celebration”, with tracks in the Beatport top charts, remixes for Ministry of Sound, and over 2000 genuine plays a day on myspace, the duo, who form Felguk, this  is not a force to be reckoned with. Their huge bassline surging electro-house; it’s a genre of its own. Un-phased by clubs or open air-festivals, whether playing live or around the house, they are quite simply a phenomenon in the making. Most of you may already know one of their singles ’2Nite (ft. Sporty-O) as it was featured in a lot of DJ Hero commericals on T.V. Felguk will be live at Nocturnal Festival!! Get some tickets!!

War Isn’t Always Bad.

12 Apr

Even though I seem to be in a battle against WordPress, who doesn’t want me to give you any music (the bastard), I can at least squeeze something in against it’s will. Enter Richard Wilkins and Shirobon, who have butted heads themselves to produce this unholy banger, aptly named “Obliterate.”

The drops in this banger might actually injure your knees.

Two Words..

4 Apr

Two words are the only thing to describe this post. Porter Robinson. He is the best electro/progessive house artist I have ever heard. His music gives off something almost like a dirty electro. It seems like many artists are following in the footsteps of Skrillex but in the end, they put there on spin on it. Porter is climbing his way to the top and is beginning a name for himself. He will be playing live at Nocturnal, so if you haven’t gotten your tickets yet, you better get them now!!
