Alright.. So I am going to count down the days until Nocturnal Festival 2011 (Rockdale, TX). For the next 18 days I want to bring to you the artists that will be playing live at the festival. If you have not yet gotten tickets already, get them now!!!

This first artist I am featuring goes by the name of Pendulum. The group originated in Perth, Australia before moving to the UK in 2003. The group is composed of Rob Swire, Gareth McGrillen and Paul Harding. Most of you may already know Mr. Swire for his most famous work with Deadmau5 in Ghost ‘n’ Stuff. In 2005, the group had released their first album called ‘Hold Your Colour’. The album was one of the biggest selling drum ‘n’ bass albums of all time and was a  HIT throughout the UK and Australia. The Pendulum sound is most comprised of heavy beats accompanied by low, buzzing basslines and overlaid with epic synthesized leads. They’ve produced multiple remixes of other artists, the most well-known being their remix of Voodoo People by The Prodigy. Now, Pendulum has warped from the drum ‘n’ bass scene and stepped into a new dimension. Most of their latest tracks include that nice “dubby” sound and some ridiculous wobbles. I was empowered by their new sound and this HUGE transformation.
